This body of work tagged ‘festival dog’ records a sacrificial offering to the deity ogun and is meant for research purposes.
 
with a sharp cutlass, the chief priest cuts the dogs head from its body. The head is then kept on a tree trunk surrounded with palm fronds in a way that the blood from the dog will drop on the stone of ogun.
 
Ogun the god of iron, road,patron deity of craftsmen and smiths is mostly worshipped by the Yoruba peoples of west Africa, west indies and americas and is seen like the ares and Hephaestus in greek mythology.
